The Wang RNA Lab is pleased to welcome Neha Ajjampore and Dr. Riley Petersen as new members of our research team.
Neha Ajjampore recently graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she majored in Mathematics and minored in Structural Biology. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research in Dr. Juli Feigon’s laboratory, focusing on the structure and function of the 7SK ribonucleoprotein complex. Neha joins the lab as our Lab Manager and Research Technician, where she will play an essential role in establishing laboratory operations and supporting our ongoing research programs.
Dr. Riley Petersen earned her Ph.D. under the mentorship of Dr. Samuel Butcher at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where her research focused on RNA structural biology. She specializes in RNA NMR spectroscopy and has determined high-profile structures of polyUG RNA. Dr. Petersen joins the lab as a Postdoctoral Scholar, where she will investigate the structural basis of disease-associated RNAs, with an emphasis on understanding mechanisms of RNA recognition by small molecule.
We are excited to welcome Neha and Riley and look forward to their contributions to advancing our mission in RNA recognition, disease, and drug discovery.
